The Nursing Assistant of the Year will receive a $5,000 scholarship toward the completion of a master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, associate degree or technical certification in nursing. In addition, the long-term care facility from where the winner is chosen will receive a $1,000 contribution to their continuing education or training fund. The Nursing Assistant of the Year will also receive travel and accommodations to the 2009 AANAC Spring Conference (March 5-6, 2009) where the award will be presented at a special luncheon.

The remaining two finalists will each receive $500 scholarships toward the completion of a master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, associate degree or technical certification in nursing. In addition, the long-term care facility from where each finalist is chosen will receive a $500 contribution to their continuing education or training fund.

Proof of current or future enrollment in an accredited nursing certification program must be provided in order to receive the awarded amounts.
